Smart textile garment for breathing volume monitoring

Abstract


The present paper demonstrates applicability of the knitted resistive fabric, developed by the Riga Technical University, to the monitoring of the in-bed patient respiratory rate and volume. The parameters of the fabric – based monitoring system is compatible with ones of commercially available respiratory belt systems.
